About the Academy
Training Run by a Working Development Agency
WDT Tech Academy is the training arm of Website Developer Tech, the web development agency behind the client projects in our case studies. The same people who build and rank those websites teach the courses, so what you learn is what current client work actually requires, not a syllabus written years ago.
Courses take you from no experience to building and deploying real projects, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, PHP and Laravel. You build your own work as you go, so you finish with a portfolio rather than a folder of exercises. Classes run at our office on Simbiat Abiola Road in Ikeja, or online if you are outside Lagos.
If You Are a SIWES or IT Student
We take SIWES and industrial training students who want to spend the placement doing real web development instead of filling a logbook. You work on live project tasks in development, SEO and design, with a discount on the course fee. Message us on WhatsApp before your placement letter is due, because places are limited by how many students we can supervise properly at once.

Where can I learn web development in Lagos, Nigeria?

Where can I do my SIWES in Lagos as a Computer Science student?
We accept SIWES and IT students in Lagos who want real web development experience. SIWES students work on live project work in web development, SEO and UI/UX design, and there is a student discount on the course fees.
Do I need coding experience before joining?
No. Every course starts from the beginning and takes you step by step through lessons and live projects. Bring a laptop and the willingness to practise between classes.
What courses do you offer?
Frontend development, backend development, full stack development, SEO and UI/UX design. Durations run from 6 weeks for SEO to 6 months for full stack.
Do you teach how to use AI for web development?
Yes. Every course covers using AI tools properly: generating and reviewing code, speeding up repetitive work, research and content, and where you should not trust the output without checking it.
How long does it take to learn full stack development?
Our full stack programme runs 6 months, covering frontend and backend with project work throughout. How quickly you become employable after that depends mostly on how much you build on your own.
Are the courses available online and offline?
Both. You can attend in person at our Ikeja office or join the same lectures online, which is how students outside Lagos take the courses.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. You get a certificate for the course you complete, and more importantly you finish with projects of your own to show, which is what employers and clients actually look at.
