Offsite backups taken on a schedule and checked, because a backup nobody has ever restored is a guess. If something goes wrong we can put yesterday’s site back rather than rebuilding from memory.

Malware scanning, login protection and file change monitoring, so a problem is caught while it is still small. Website security is far cheaper as prevention than as recovery, and recovery usually costs you rankings too.

We watch whether the site is up and get alerted before your customers tell you. When something does break, fixing it is included rather than quoted for.

Every site we look after goes through the same nine steps, from a first health check to improving the site as your business changes.

Site Health Check
We start with a full health check: what the site is built on, which versions of the framework, theme and plugins it runs, how it is hosted, whether backups exist, its speed on mobile and any errors in Google Search Console. You get a short list of what needs fixing now and what can wait.

Access & Ownership
We confirm that the domain, hosting and admin accounts are in your name, record every login securely, and remove old accounts nobody uses. Many rescue jobs start with a business that cannot log into its own website, so this comes first.

Backups First
Before we change anything, we set up offsite backups on a schedule and run a test restore, so there is always a working copy of your site to go back to if an update or an attack goes wrong.
